Mein Owner (Swiss_Atlas) schickt mich in die weite Welt hinaus, mit der Mission, von Cache zu Cache zu wandern.
Ab dem 22.2.22 soll ich wieder den Rückweg nach Luzern (Schweiz) antreten. Entsprechend bringe mich ab diesem Datum wieder Richtung Schweiz.  Bitte trage sorge zu mir, damit ich unbeschadet reisen kann. Vielen Dank!

Stockholm (vom altschwedischen stokker, entsprechend schwedisch stock „Baumstamm, Warenbestand“ und holmber, schwedisch holme „kleine Insel“) ist die Hauptstadt Schwedens und mit 949.761 (Gemeinde Stockholm), 1,4 Millionen (tätort Stockholm) beziehungsweise 2,1 Millionen Einwohnern (Groß-Stockholm) die größte Stadt in Skandinavien. Sie hat eine mehr als sieben Jahrhunderte zurückreichende Besiedlungsgeschichte und ist seit 1643 die Residenz des Königs. Die Stadt ist sowohl Sitz des schwedischen Parlamentes als auch der schwedischen Regierung. Sie ist ebenso das kulturelle Zentrum des Landes und Bischofssitz. In einer Rangliste der Städte nach ihrer Lebensqualität belegte Stockholm im Jahre 2018 den 23. Platz unter 231 untersuchten Städten weltweit.

Geographie
Das Landschaftsbild Stockholms hat sich in der Geschichte der Stadt aufgrund der skandinavischen Landhebung stark verändert. Teile, die heute zum Festland gehören, waren vor einigen hundert Jahren noch Inseln. Ein Meerbusen der Ostsee umschließt die Stadt im Osten mit zahlreichen Buchten, Landzungen sowie etwa 24.000 größeren und kleineren Inseln (Schären). Dieses Gebiet wird Stockholmer Schärengarten (Skärgården) genannt. Stockholm liegt am Ausfluss des Sees Mälaren in die Ostsee, dem Riddarfjärden. Der See erstreckt sich 120 Kilometer nach Westen ins Landesinnere. Slussen, eine Schleuse mitten in Stockholm, trennt das Süßwasser des Mälarsees vom Salzwasser der östlich liegenden Ostsee. Wasser macht etwa 30 Prozent der Stadtfläche aus. Die Stadt bezieht ihr Trinkwasser aus dem Mälaren und die hohe Wasserqualität erlaubt es, mitten in der Innenstadt Lachse zu angeln. Die Stadt erstreckt sich über 14 Inseln, die durch 53 Brücken verbunden sind. Ein großer Teil der Stadt besteht aus Waldregionen. In nordsüdlicher Richtung zieht sich eine eiszeitliche Kiesmoräne, die vom Ausfluss durchbrochen worden war. Die Inseln im Strom sind Reste dieses Rückens.

It has more than seven centuries of settlement history and has been the residence of the king since 1643. The city is the seat of both the Swedish Parliament and the Swedish Government. It is also the cultural center of the country and episcopal see. In a ranking of cities according to their quality of life, Stockholm ranked 23rd in 2018 among 231 cities surveyed worldwide.

The landscape of Stockholm has changed dramatically in the history of the city due to the Scandinavian land grab. Parts that are now part of the mainland were islands a few hundred years ago. A Gulf of the Baltic Sea encloses the city in the east with numerous bays, headlands and about 24,000 larger and smaller islands (archipelago). This area is called Stockholm archipelago (Skärgården). Stockholm lies at the outflow of Lake Mälaren in the Baltic Sea, the Riddarfjärden. The lake extends 120 kilometers west into the interior. Slussen, a lock in the middle of Stockholm, separates the fresh water of Lake Mälaren from the salt water of the eastern Baltic Sea. Water accounts for about 30 percent of the city area. The city gets its drinking water from the Mälaren and the high water quality makes it possible to fish salmon in the middle of the city center. The city stretches over 14 islands connected by 53 bridges. A large part of the city consists of forest regions. In the north-south direction, a glacial gravel moraine, which had been broken by the outflow. The islands in the stream are remnants of this ridge.
