Über den offiziellen Coin der deutschen Reviewer:

German Reviewer Geocoin – Edition Waterkant Serial: LE 085/280

Die neue Reviewer Geocoin bricht zum ersten Mal die Tradition der jährlich erscheinenden Coin. Von nun an sollen Reviewercoins einem bestimmten Thema gewidmet sein und das unabhängig vom Erscheinungsjahr.

Cachen in Deutschland zeigt sich in vielerlei Hinsicht abwechslungsreich. Schon die geographischen Unterschiede der Alpenwelt bis hin zu den Dünen an der Ost- und Nordsee bieten eine Vielfalt, die so manche Fernreise nicht bieten kann.

Dieses Thema spiegelt sich in der aktuellen Geocoin. Eine Seite widmet sich dem Süden mitsamt den Alpen und typischen Merkmalen wie Juragestein, Fossilien, Edelweiss und Burgen. Signal zeigt sich als Bergsteiger (man beachte bitte die kleinen Spikes an seinen Füßen) ;-) Auf dieser Seite ist auch eine zusätzliche Serien/Limitierungsnummer eingraviert, die jede Coin zu einem Unikat macht.

Auf der anderen Seite ist der nördliche Teil Deutschlands abgebildet mitsamt Karte und Längen-und Breitengrad. Hier findet man Gräser, Seevögel, Wellen und einen Leuchtturm. Signal trägt eine Badehose und fängt - na was wohl - Dosen! Auf dieser Seite ist der Trackingcode eingraviert.

Damit jetzt keiner denkt, wir wollen Deutschland in 2 Hälften teilen, symbolisiert das Seil die Verbundenheit und Zusammengehörigkeit beider Hälften, die zusammen leider nicht auf  eine Seite der Coin gepasst hätten

The new reviewer coin breaks with the long term tradition of its annual appearance. From now on reviewer coins will be dedicated to special themes independant from the year of publish.

Caching in Germany is very varied in many respects. Just as an example look at the diversity of geographical differences of the Alpine mountain world in the south to the dunes of the North- and Baltic Sea in the north - no simple travel can show the same.

This theme is reflected by this new geocoin. One side of the coin stands for the south of the country with the Alps and features like Jurassic stones, fossiles, edelweiss, and castles. Signal is shown as a mountaineer (just watch the little spikes at the tips of his feet) .  On this side of the coin you will also find engraved an additional serialnumber, which makes every coin unique.

On the other side of the coin the northern part of Germany is shown including a coarse map and longitude- and latitude lines. Here you will find kinds of grass, seagulls, waves and a lighttower. Signal wears bathing shorts and is fishing for -what else could it be?- containers! This side of the coins displays the engraved tracking code.

As nobody should be led to think that we want to separate the country again into two parts (we had that for 40 years in E/W direction), a rope symbolizes the unity and fellowship of both halves which would not have fitted onto one single side of the coin.
