Teil der Coinsammlung der Kanustation Mirow / poseptun
Vom legendären, leider inzwischen verstorbenen Cacher "RiverCacher" habe ich bereits einige Coins in meine Sammlung aufnehmen dürfen:
* River Cacher Memorial Geocoin - Black Nickel (nach seinem viel zu frühen Tod von seinen Freunden gestaltet)
* River Cacher 2010 Geocoin - Silver
* Black Canyon Beach Luau #3 Geocoin - Bronze
Zu dieser funktionalen Firetruck-Coin (sie steht auf eigenen, drehbaren Rädern) schreibt RC im Forum am 30. März 2009:
For the last several months i have been working with Oakcoins and Lori Darlin to come up with this new type of concept in Geocoins.
I was working on doing a several different Geocoins with this concept and i was trying to figure out which to release first and then my Brother asked about doing a fire department fundraiser Geocoin.
I told him i may have a perfect idea to make sure they sell.
I have agreed to donate $2.00 per coin from these 250 coins.
Donations will be made to the OVFA (Ontario Volunteer Firefighter Assocciation Fund).
This part of the fund will go to help with Training in the 26 SRV (Snake River Valley) Fire Departments from Western Idaho and Eastern Oregon.
The metal choice is Nickel, Black Nickel and Gold.
The Gold metal will be sold in a set only except for a few that have been sold hand to hand and a few that will be auctioned off on another sight.
A special Thanks goes out to Oakcoins, LoriDarlin and the cute little doggie in the window.
I had the following metals made to start.
101 Nickel
99 Black Nickel
50 Gold
Gold may also be minted again as well but it will be the lowest amount made.

Wegen des großen Erfolges wurden dann noch einmal in der Edition "RED" aufgelegt:
* 150 Nickel + 100 Black Nickel + 50 Shiny Gold + 25 Antique Gold
sowie eine Edition "YELLOW" die anlässlich des US GCF im Jahr 2010 herausgebracht wurde:
* 100 Black Nickel + 75 Nickel + 50 Shiny Gold + 25 Antique Gold

I just like, without reason bringt mich als Titel für diesen Teil deiner Sammlung zum Schmunzeln. Ich verstehe dich trotzdem voll und ganz, packt mich dieses Geocoinfieber doch auch langsam. Bei so tollen Einblicken in Sammlungen, wird einfach zwischendurch das Verlangen geweckt und ehe man sich versieht, fiebert man dem Postboten täglich entgegen. Cattack

Ich hatte heute die Gelegenheit die schöne Sammlung von poseptun zu bewundern. Die Geocoins unter dem Titel I just like, without reason sind schön anzusehen. Die Erklärungen um welchen Coin es sich handelt ist sehr informativ und zeichnet eine besondere Sammlung aus. Der hohe Zeitaufwand ist enorm, da steckt jede Menge Arbeit drin.
Ich bedanke mich ganz herzlich und weiterhin viel Freude mit unserem gemeinsamen Hobby.
