Found at Geocaching HQ, the Expedition 38 Travel Bug Hitchhiker was flown for Geocaching Headquarters to the International Space Station in November of 2013 aboard a Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft. US astronaut Rick Mastracchio carried this and 25 other hitchhikers to the ISS to teach students back on Earth about geography and science. The hitchhikers, and the Travel Bug they were attached to, flew in space for 188 days, orbiting the Earth 3,008 times. This hitchhiker traveled more than 79,800,000 miles before returning to Earth on May 13, 2014!
