Blue of Dendron was on a journey. His goal was to achieve self-actualization before reaching a geocache near Kent, OH where he was to be reunited with his mentor at Mission Control and his fellow space travelers. Unfortunately, Blue perished before reaching his goal. The photos and logs herein serve as a testament to his search for self-actualization. He will be missed by all who knew him. Thank you to Ringeling for commemorating his passing. Condolences may be posted as "notes" below.
Blue of Dendron is no more. His story follows...
The following story and the travel bugs described herein were inspired by four guys at Kinko's: Four genius misfits from the planet of Dendron failed to achieve self-actualization by the expected age. Community leaders, concerned for the welfare of these young men, requested a meeting with each of them. There is an almost forgotton tradition in Dendron: the mission trip. In the past, young men and women of Dendron would take a year sabbatical to “find themselves.” Extensive space travel, however, became costly and the tradition eventually became less popular among most Dendrites who, in general, did not have difficulty reaching self-actualization. However, the community leaders suggested reviving the tradition for these young men. The young men, surprised at their leaders’ interest, decided to accept this opportunity.
** Reynoth agreed to serve as the mission team’s sponsor. His role is to guide the team from Dendron. They are to maintain contact with him throughout their journey, reporting any progress they make towards self-actualization. Pluum, a student at the Academy volunteered to accompany the group and study their progress.
** After travelling together for a year and getting nowhere, the team members have decided to split up and take separate pods, hoping to reunite eventually at Mission Control with Reynoth, after finally achieving self-actualization. Their now separate journeys will depend on the kindness of strangers. Should one of them perish (a broken Dendrite is a dead Dendrite), he or she should be buried where found, as is the Dendrite tradition. Posting the coordinates will allow Reynoth to eventually visit the burial site and pay his respects.
** Blue was the self-appointed leader of the group. He was quick to make decisions which tended to make him a leader by default. His saving grace was that his instincts were usually quite good. He was very smart, had a number of hobbies, but nothing seemed to interest him for long. He failed a number of attempts to complete his studies at the Academy, much to the chagrin of his wealthy, politically-minded parents. He often got inspired, tried something, did it for awhile, and then got bored. He was very excited about the trip, but was somewhat grandiose regarding his beliefs about what the mission was really about. He seemed to see it as about something greater than his own self-actualization. His final thoughts on the matter will remain a mystery.

Rest in peace is not not applicable for Blue.
It is more Rest In Pieces. His grave looks like a rattle.
Still I hope that we remember Blue as a good TB.
