No idea what happened to this. It was dropped into a very active cache in Florida; during the next three months, no one mentions it, despite there being a couple of dozen Finds. At some point, it was marked as "Missing", but there is nothing on the geocoin's page to say who or why. The cache was archived last year. The only logical assumption to make is that it was picked up but never logged. Shit happens.
So, we are retrieving this for burial in an archived cache of ours, and hope that it turns up, some day. And here's the obligatory "rant" for situations like this...
WE HOPE THAT SOMEONE IS JUST BEING VERY SLOW TO LOG THIS, OR THAT THEY FORGOT ABOUT IT, OR MAYBE DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT IT REALLY WAS; IF THIS IS THE CASE, PLEASE RETRIEVE IT, AND THEN DROP IT INTO ANOTHER CACHE AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE. THANK YOU!
HOWEVER...
IF THIS WAS TAKEN WITH NO INTENTION OF MOVING IT ALONG, WHOEVER TOOK IT IS A THIEF!! WE OWN THIS GEOCOIN; WE SENT IT OUT INTO THE WORLD FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO ENJOY AND TO MOVE ALONG. IT CANNOT BE SOLD OR ADOPTED; IT CAN'T EVEN BE SHOWN TO OTHERS WITHOUT RISKING THEM FINDING OUT THAT THIS WAS STOLEN. THE SOLUTION, OF COURSE, IS TO GET A CONSCIENCE AND DROP THIS INTO A CACHE SOON.
