Well, JayBee85 from Alabama is another familiar name — I had your card in my 2022 binder too!
But reading this 2023 card brought back something else.
BAMARAMA! 🎉🧭
I see you're part of the BamaRama crew, and that reminded me that we actually crossed paths in 2024. You told me about the Mega back then.
Well... apparently I'm not very quick at taking a hint. 😂
Because here we are two years later and I STILL haven't made it.
But that's finally going to change:
2028 WILL BE OUR FIRST BAMARAMA! 🤠🎉
Sometimes that's just how geocaching goes. Somebody tells you about a great event, you put it on the mental list, then work, family, other trips and about 400 other caching ideas get in the way.
Then suddenly you realize...
DANG, THEY TOLD ME ABOUT THIS FOUR YEARS AGO! 🤣
So when we finally roll into BamaRama in 2028, I'll be able to say JayBee85 started working on getting me there way back in 2024!
That's also what I'm loving about taking the time to read these cards. This isn't just some random #247 sitting in an old binder anymore. I can connect the card to a cacher I've actually crossed paths with and a conversation I still remember.
Tera and I missed Going Caching 2023 because of her surgery, so my California caching friends handled our trading that year and brought this card home for me.
Now, three years later, I'm finally giving JayBee85 #247 its proper discovery.
