From Dalhart to Del Rio and out El Paso way,
Well I'll be cachin' fine on Houston time,
And when the sun sets on the Copano Bay,
Well from way up where the Red River flows,
On down to the Rio Grande, I'm a cachin-crazy Texan,
And I'm proud to say I am.
Yeah I like Texas, Ain't cachin' fine here,
Like to log those hides by Luckenbach,
And cool off with a Shiner Bock beer.
Yeah I like Texas, its caches make me shout;
Don't doubt I mean it all; I know what I'm talkin' about.
Well there's park and grabs and Monster multis,
Will tour you 'cross the Lone Star State.
Strap on your boots and have yourself a laugh or two.
Well the GPS is dancin', at "Find Next" I'm glancin'
A hill country run is what I fancy,
Where streams run clear and,
Lord, the skies they are so blue.
Yeah I like Texas, Ain't cachin' fine here,
Like to log those hides by Luckenbach,
And cool off with a Shiner Bock beer.
Yeah I like Texas, its caches make me shout;
Don't doubt I mean it all; I know what I'm talkin' about.
It's a two day old burrito on a lukewarm joe to go,
On the Sunday side of a road trip weekend.
Pack 'em up and don't be slow.
There's new caches up by Copperas,
And down San Antonio way,
Each new prospect keeps me out longer --
Yup, I'll cache another day.
Yeah I like Texas, Ain't cachin' fine here,
Like to log those hides by Luckenbach,
And cool off with a Shiner Bock beer.
Yeah I like Texas, its caches make me shout;
Don't doubt I mean it all; I know what I'm talkin' about.
It was last week that I was in JEEP country (the wilds of
Eastern Oregon); but didn't do much caching there (family commitments)(I know, I know)... but I'm sure I'll find a good spot for this little guy. [Hmmm, reminds me of Dad's war surplus Jeep -- he spraypainted it black with bright yellow hubcaps... probably the paint on hand.]
