I went out today with my wife and daughter to find this cache and retrieve Chuck the Firetruck. Chuck has been on a long journey, he traveled from Illinois to New York to visit Ground Zero, then across the country to California, then back to Springfield again! My daughter and I would like to thank outdoorlady79, outdoorman63 and Team MZFD for all their help in getting Chuck back to Springfield. We would also like to thank everyone else who helped Chuck along on his journey. When we arrived at the cache it was being guarded by a water snake sunning himself and a female duck sitting on her eggs. Thanks alot for the cache.

Outdoorlady sent Chuck with me to meet his new goal of making it to Springfield, IL. Since the TEAM is from Mt. Zion, IL we will take him there real soon! We have already been to the cache that has been requested, all the easier to drop him off! Will let him play with some of his firetruck buddies at my house before sending him on!

We picked this special bug up while in Jefferson City, MO for a "Cabin Fever Potluck" geocaching event. He had fun riding around as we frantically finished the geobingo caches. I hve been in contact with his owner and my husband and I will be holding onto him until our upcoming trip to Springfield or the owner otherwise advises us to move him along. I normally wouldn't hold him for more than a week but he's gone to far to accidently come up misisng now.
