About This Item

unORDinary ARMY MEN on maneuvers at Fort Ord

This is one of three ARMY MEN which frequently performed maneuvers at and around unORDinary cache on the now-decommissioned Fort Ord near Monterey, CA. Sent to perform Top Secret tasking at Army bases across the USA, they are now trying to hitchhike their way home before they are marked AWOL! Please help this soldier on his way! Please observe the following rules:

  • You may transfer the soldier person-to-person to another Geocacher escort, as long as the transfer is done face to face.
  • You may place the soldier in a cache for pickup by another geocacher, with or without prior arrangement. Please try to use frequently-visited caches.
  • You may carry the soldier yourself along long distances by any mode of transportation, but the soldier should not cross more than one state boundary between caches in this method.

I picked him up from the swampy area near Country Lane Cache. He looked a little weak from a week in the swamp on c-rations so I took him with me on my trip to Gilmer, Texas and then on to the next cache somewhere in Austin.

Picked up this bug today. Will give him a lift and drop him off a little farther west. He was in a multi-cache (4 part) and quite an effort was made to retrieve him. The trip was great though, my valentine was with me for the ride today.
