Adding this to the log , as HOPE it might be idea an help to get this one moving again , since it seems lost after i dropped into the cache 😟...
Greetings from Yuma, Arizona
On February 19 2012 at Yuma Event #9
we'll be sending an 'explosion of trackables' into the geocache world and we hope that you'll join us.
MANY of us have Travel Bugs and/or Geocoins that have been missing for 1 or more years.
We've decided to re-release them 'en masse' at this event.
We all love logging TBs and geocoins,
so on this day we'll be making replacements for the for missing Coins and TBs,
and we're doing it FOR FREE.
We've purchased blank
aluminum tags, key rings (just the round part), and little trinkets to attach to the tags.
With a dremel tool we'll inscribe your coin's tracking number, and even your geoname if you'd like.
Were doing this for several reasons.
- We want to get more trackables out there.
- We think we all can have some fun with this.
- We'd also like to 'start a fire' of re-releasing trackables and get people all over the world re-releasing their own trackables.
For you to help all we would need is the tracking # of any that you'd like re-released.
The trackable is still yours and you can change its name and/or mission statement or whatever you'd like.
We can even take a picture of it before we send it on it's way and then post it to it's page.
If you have geo friends that are interested in this just send us the #s of those they'd like us to make too.
Again, i think we all can have some fun with this once we get it going.
Wouldn't it be GREAT for us to be able to have one from every state to release that day. And even other countries. Think about it.
-----------UPDATE-----------
So far we have 9 States, 4 Canadian Provinces and 3 Countries represented.
And we're over 100 confirmed re-releases already
If you have questions as to how you can be a part of this, or to have an
'Explosion of Trackables' celebration of your own, please contact me at
eelya1@yahoo.com.
Thank you,
Eric / EXMAN
