About This Item

The USS Menhaden is one of 28 submarines manufactured during WWII in Manitowoc, WI. This Travel Bug was launched from Manitowoc along with 27 others as a tribute to the builders and crews of those submarines. The Travel Bugs are intended to honor these heroic people who labored and fought to bring peace to the world in 1945.
