About This Item

Tramping in New Zealand is known in other parts or the world as Hiking. Todays trampers carry a GPS, cell phones and personal locaton beacons. Whereas a hundred years ago trampers used hand drawn maps for navigation and had to get themselves out of the mountains if disaster struck.
