About This Item

1

Mid size coin with heft.  The front of the coin has a medallion with lots of enamel work.  The 3-D is in line and edge work.  The medallion has a design of the desert.  There are images of cacti, a cow skull, lots of sand and buzzards.  The rim is wide and the background is done in brown matte enamel.  There is script done in metal that reads "I need a cache like the desert needs the rain".  The reverse has a medallion with a background done in matte olive green.  It has a design of a slot machine showing three GPS units and the macine is giving out coins.  The rim which is done in the same brown as the front has script that reads "If you don't play, you can't win" and "Stringalights 2007".  OK coin.  -----------About the coin:  The quote, "He reached in and put a string of lights around my heart" was the inspiration for the caching name Stringalights a South Carolina cacher new to the fun in 2006. The quote comes from a popular independent film from 1986 that takes place in Reno, NV where one of the main characters works in a casino. This personal coin pays homage to the film, a favorite of Stringalights, and carries with it a message of love and hope that each and every one of us finds someone to light up our hearts!---------So many of my trackables have been muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals.  If you do not approve, please leave it in the cache for a cacher who understands.  Thanks.  ML.

We didn't find the "Can you hear the spring" geocache GC4A32Z. But a mysterious thing is that on the ground we found something that no doubt belonged in the cache. It was a plastic tag that was probably on this trackable. (It is an image of the geocoin, encased in plastic. I can tell that it was a tag because it had a punch-hole, which now is ripped through.) I hope that geocoin is still safe and sound, somewhere.
