ANALYSIS

It is now clear: there are two separate travelbugs:
- Cacher on board geocoin, by Ferret63,, https://coord.info/TB1KHY3. It is a laminated picture of the actual coin, and a written tag on it.
- Cache Run gecoing by IOverbeek, https://coord.info/TBXEQ7. It is a copperwire ring with an aluminium self-created tag.

Both travelbugs have virtually ended up in Hilversum, the Netherlands, and they are now registered to myself. However, I physically only have the copperwire ring travelbug.

The first is to log with a *Q, and the second is to log with a 0. The tag of the second is a little bit damaged, and thus can well be (and often is!) read as Q instead, leading to many misunderstandings, and erroneous logs.

FUTURE STEPS

To mitigate future mis-readings, I have marked the aluminium tag with a permanent marker, pointing out the zero instead of the Q.

  • @IOverbeek, I will bring the physical travelbug into play, by dropping it in a nearby geocache. No action from you needed.
@Ferret63, I'm sorry to indicate that very likely your travelbug might be missing, and that quite some previous logs are missing. I leave it to you to do what is needed, e.g., Mark it missing.

Retrieved. It appears someone has replaced the original travel bug with something new. I will reattach the correct travel bug and move on asap.
