Logging this traveler through a very interesting and enjoyable cache in Oklahoma City before heading out to work on some transformers at a wind farm in Woodward, OK in the morning.

This traveler is back in Mississippi - but not for long. I got back from Auburn, Alabama around 9:30, repacked the suitcase, and am heading to the airport for a three-day business trip to Oklahoma at 12:30. Since Tuesday is Veterans' Day, I thought logging this bug through the Laurel Veterans' Memorial Museum would be a good idea.

Just dipping this traveler into a geocache in Opelika Alabama while here for the weekend helping my brother pick up his Datsun 280Z from the painters and drop an engine, transmission, clutch, etc. in it before trailering it back to Mississippi. The cache was too wet to leave any travelers in it. I'll try to find a suitable cache again soon.

Blue skies and happy caching!

Laggardly Lager had a little high-speed adventure with me today. It rode to work with me on my Suzuki GSX-R1000 sportbike. We took the long way there on some empty back country roads where I could open the bike up and have some fun. We got up to about 150 mph in one spot where the road was flat and straight and there was good visibility. It was a blast! This won't be the last high-speed adventure I'll take it on. I've got another one in mind that will be even better.

Blue skies and happy caching!

  • Laggardly Lager getting ready for its Gixxer ride. My bike is a Suzuki GSX-R1000 (Gixxer 1000) that has almost 180 horsepower, revs to 13,500 rpm, and weighs less than 400 pounds. It really flies! Hang on tight!
  • All the TBs and GCs that rode with me today.
  • The Gixxer 1000, ready to roll.
  • Let's go!

Ever since I had some Yuengling beer from a tap in a mountainside bar in Pittsburg it has been my very favorite beer. I retrieved Laggardly Lager from the Paul B. Johnson State Park in southern Mississippi and will get it into another cache soon - maybe after an adventure or two.

Blue skies and happy caching!
