Well, I thought it was a joke...a bug wanting to see the USA! Next thing I knew, he was asking to be called Punch-a-Bunch Bug and said "Just wait, you'll see!" AND he wants to return home afterwards.

    Picked Punch-A-Bunch up from this Colorado cache. His next stop, in Nebraska, will be the end of its 2-week, 5000+ mile road trip with me and Ney-A-Ti. The TB got 9 new punches on its card during the trek. Punch-A-Bunch had a great deal of fun -- it met a lot of interesting people, saw wildfires, hydrothermal activity, rain, snow, hail, lots of rainbows, detours, almost every big game animal roaming the area, canyons and lots of mountains, all of which quite impressed its Illinois Flatlander companions. I wish we had a digital camera so we could post some photos of this TB on the trip, but digital cameras don't grow on trees. Neither do scanners, so I suppose our written descriptions will have to suffice. 😉 Here's hoping Punch-A-Bunch is able to visit the rest of the 36 or so states it still needs. Good luck!

    Punch-a-bunch moved to colorado after he was in Utah. He went to Colorado National Monument and Rocky Mountain National Park. He didn't get to go on Mount Evans though, as snow had closed the road. 😟

    Punch-A-Bunch took a side trip from his cloudy day in Jackson WY to go to Idaho to see the Tetons as the original French Explorers first saw them -- from the west! By the time we made it over Teton Pass, the clouds had almost cleared and the view of the other side of the Tetons was wonderful. The Aspen were just starting to turn gold. Now this TB has also been in a cache in Idaho. But his trip is not over yet!

    Punch-A-Bunch really enjoyed Montana. While he didn't make it to the pig races at Bear Creek Downs, he did go white water rafting and ate at the Grizzly Bar. His trip isn't over yet!

    Punch-A-Bunch's last punch was South Dakota. It visited the Badlands, the Black Hills and Mt Rushmore. It ended up in this cache in a stand of Aspen in the beautiful Bighorn Mtns in Wyoming. I picked him up there, and while in Wyoming, we visited Devil's Tower, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. This TB was fortunate to see all kinds of hydrothermal activity. We spent several days geyser-watching. Punch-A-Bunch saw all kinds of geysers erupt -- Great Fountain, Grand, Beehive, Artemisia, Oblong, Echinus, Castle, Daisy, Riverside, and of course Old Faithful.
