I'd like this bug to travel to sites of geologic interest. Any old fossil location, granite spire, or volcano will do. A note explaining the setting would be appreciated.

We were camping at LaPine State Park in Oregon and took Rock Hound 2 to the Newberry National Volcanic area for a visit and dropped it in a nearby cache. I'll include a picture of the Big Obsidian Flow that is amazing.
Out for a beautiful, sunny, Father's Day walk along the lake and picked up Rock Hound 2. Friday we're heading to Bend, Oregon, with a stop by the Deschutes River. We'll drop off travel bug in a rocky spot. :-)
Left this TB on the shore of beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene in Northern Idaho.
I retrieved this TB it had spent almost 5 months on the rocky beaches of Grays Harbor. I will move it inland hopefully to another interesting site.
