He would like to visit fire halls everywhere and have his picture taken. After a couple years of travel, to make his way back home to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada.

About This Item

It was part timing part planning but this team of firefighters started their journey on the third anniversary of “9-11”.

We have just returned from Hamilton, Montana where we took TB Command Firefighter to meet our cousin who is a retired Captain from the Los Angeles Fire Dept. Command Firefighter is seen here on his retirement plaque. Another photo CF is on top of his certificate of valor. He received this recognition as Captain of the Northridge Firehouse during the 1994 earthquake. He was Los Angeles's Fireman of the year for his leadership in rescue efforts to save those trapped in a collapsed apartment building. We are very proud of him.

Found Command Firefighter today in Bellevue,WA 98008. If you don't mind we will take him on a trip in two weeks so he can meet a special retired Los Angeles fireman in Montana. We will take a photo there and then place him in another cache.

Never will I forget you wonderful Canadians taking in our diverted planes on 9/11 in Nova Scotia. There may well have been others but this was the story in our papers. Your citizens in a small community taking in the airline passengers to house and feed them. But most of all to offer every kindness to them in this stressful situation. Never have I been so proud to have you as neighbors.
