Hello geo-travel companion!
Just stopped by this GREAT cache hide in YYC (Calgary, Alberta Canada). Heading home to Minnesota (via Houston, TX) tomorrow afternoon.
My one-year geocaching anniversary was announced on two podcasts this week.
Podcacher, show 169.0

Cache-A-Maniacs, show 80

If you have not heard of these podcasts (or of podcasting at all), check them out on their websites or in iTunes. It is a great way to stay connected to the geocaching world.
Although the 230+ caches finds and 17 cache hides in one year isn't overly impressive, the statistic I am most proud of is my cache-to-cache mileage. I have over 82,000 miles traveled while caching, 25 states, 2 Canadian provinces, 4 countries. Traveling from Alaska to South America. I have only been able to accomplish this feat because of my airline job, which us cachers in the industry have nickname "airline caching". As you are aware, it has been a lot of fun taking many travel bugs and coins on some high-mileage adventures.
Next week I will be trading in the Boeing jet for the family truckster. My geo-family is taking a road trip, Minnesota-Iowa-Kansas-Missouri to visit family on Lake of the Ozarks. We will do some caching on the drive as well as during our week at the lake. Look forward to some "slower paced" caching adventures. Along the way, I will be able to log my first finds in 3 more states.
