Hello, we retrieved this Geocoin late last week. My husband is a veteran of both Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served 18 years in the Army, 5 years full time and 13 years in reserves. He was awarded the Bronze Star in Operation Iraqi Freedom for going above and beyond the call of duty. He has also received many other awards and medals for his service over the years. It is encouraging to hear that there are young people interested in the soldiers who have served and continue to serve their country. We'll e-mail you a pic of him with the Geocoin. We have a plaque as you enter our house that has the following saying "FREEDOM, a state of mind, a way of life". Remember those words as you collect stories from more soldiers.
