Op 7 april 1994 worden 10 paracommando's van het peleton mortieren van het 2de CDO tijdens een opdracht om de Rwandese premier te escorteren gevangengenomen en later afgeslacht. Deze coin is dan ook aan hen opgedragen.
On April 7th 1994, 10 Belgian Paracommandos on a UN peacekeeping mission where captured during an escort of the Rwandian Prime minister. They were butchered. This coin will travel trough the world to remember and honour them.
