This coin's mission is to be a historical record of archived geocaches located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

About This Item

When I attended my first geocaching event, I overhead several conversations about some great caches. When I got home, I was unable to locate them. Just like the coal miners depicted on this coin, they are gone - a thing of the past that is fading from memory.

I seriously doubt that I'll ever circulate this coin. It is my first geocoin, and it's subject matter is dear to me - one of my grandparents was a deep coal miner that died as result of his years in the mines.

I will use it to keep a record of archived geocaches in Schuylkill County, and perhaps let a few good geocaching friends discover it once in a while.
