Pearl harbour was bombed by the Japanese in December 1941, but little is heard of the bombing of Darwin 19 Feb 1942, (including the hospital)- 243 killed and about 350 injured or missing - March 1942 and continuing over sixty times until November 1943.

This cache is placed at the Quarantine Barracks, which was part of the line of defence for the Top End / Northern Territory of Australia during the Battle for Australia.
In the spirit of US / OZ relations, I have left the Fairies geocoin here to begin it's Down Under tour of duty. May it bring GOOD Karma to all caches, cachers and muggles in the area.
