Bill & Grant, along with Sean & Bruce, who were visiting from Kelowna, chose this geocache, since it is close to the Bowman cottage on Grand lac des Cèdres. We took the easy way up to the top of the mountain, by car. In our eagerness, we forgot to work out the clue, so could not find the cache at first. We borrowed a pencil from the workers who were fixing the broken windows and removing the graffiti at the cabin. The clue was important, and led to a successful outcome, with Grant finding his first cache, after a fair amount of searching. We took an MRC pin and the travel bug “I Am”. We placed a set of tent repair clips obtained from “Howard's Middle # 2” by canoe magic , and a 1st Nepean Scouts group flash. It is a great cache, and the view from the lookout was stunning.
The Kelowna gang will take “I Am” out there in a few days to place him. It will be a great boost in his quest to see all of Canada.
