Old River paid a visit to Crater Lake today on our way south to California. Couldn't log the TB into the cache because it was an Earth Cache, but Old River was there!

It really was my intention to take this Red Jeep TB to Hawaii and drop it there. When I got there though, I found out from the local cachers that there was a geocoin thief active on the island, and not to leave any geocoins or Jeeps in the caches there.

So I have brought this Red Jeep TB back to the mainland to see the sights of America.

    First stop: Sisters, OR.

    • Old River Jeep TB at Martha's Addiction This was a clever cache with a few dozen Altoids cans. You had to keep opening them to find which one had the log book in it, but each one had a different inspirational quote inside about never giving up and failure being a stepping stone to success.

Had a lovely morning snorkeling with my family in Lagoon #4 at Ko'Olina today. My eldest son and I were rather enjoying looking at all the bright colorful fishies when I saw a baracuda swimming toward us from one of the openings to the ocean, and I said "swim away!" and we swam back to shore. Picked up the GPS receiver and went for a walk down to this cache. Wasn't hard to find, but I doubt the average passerby would spot it if they weren't looking for it. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how little trash I saw around this area. Took TZ geocoin and a small motorcycle toy, left TB. The log is VERY full, but I signed a spot on the bottom margin. Someone else left a yellow-sticky note in there to log their find since the log was full. Sorry I didn't bring any supplies with me to replace the log myself, but thanks very much for the cool cache.

Thanks very much for setting this up, Judy and Diane. It was great to meet so many cachers and put faces with names. The activities you set up were great fun, too. The coin names and owners worksheet for the raffle was a great idea. I enjoyed seeing such a plethora of coins. Sorry I had to take off so early in the evening, but glad I got to stop by and participate for a little while.
