I am a pickle from the Spreewald, which is the most famous cucumber-growing area in Germany. (In case you're wondering, "pickle" in German is "Gurke".) My life started as a finisher medal for a half marathon. Although I may be big and heavy, my goal is to travel around the world, free and easy as a bird. Some places I would like to see on the way are New Zealand, the USA, and Spain. Then I want to return home to Muskratmarie in Berlin. Please help me on this ultimate Ultraquest! Also take pictures and tell me your story. As a reward, you can hang me around your neck for a while and feel like a winner!

The Spreewald was created during the ice ages. Today the Spree river flows wide and shallow here, passing a maze of sand bars and islands before consolidating again to flow through Berlin.
