Greetings from Traverse City, Michigan, the cherry capital of the USA! We are in the area geocaching with the secondary goal of visiting relatives. When we left Traverse City, it was overcast, light snow with temps around freezing. It is a little different here!
We went on a day trip from Carthage to Jefferson, so the wife could do some “Antiqueing”. Since my father-in-law had the day off, I was able to introduce him to geocaching, which he thoroughly enjoyed. This is one of the five caches we found near downtown Jefferson today.
The coordinates were about 50 feet or so off of the actual cache site. We utilized the hint to find the cache easily after having to use some stealth tactics due to some nearby muggles. We signed and stamped the log book with our signature stamp, left our signature card, and took the geocoin to move it up to the frozen north.
Note: the green jeep travel bug was not in the cache. We will log out the geocoin tomorrow, as it was left at the in-laws house and we are now at the motel.
