Current Goal

Hopalong likes to stay on the run! The primary goal is to visit all the Busse Woods caches - after that, just keep her on the move. I'm more interested in number of caches visited, not distance travelled or hands changed. In fact, if posible, I'd like her to stay in the Chicagoland area until we run out of caches to take her to. :)

Hopalong on her journey

Hopalong Busse is named after the forest preserve I released her in. She's a kangaroo beanie baby, so she's all about hopping! From cache to cache, whether 10 miles away or 10 feet away, even just for a moment, Hopalong wants to see them all! (Thanks to Spaceman Spiff for the log picture of Hopalong, taken during her time spent visiting him!)

After reading that Hopalongs owner would like him kept in the Chicago area I decided to take him with me back to Illinois. I will be leaving him on the other side of Chicago very soon.

Hopalong Busse hopped over to MaxB's to see the river and see if she could plan a ride even closer to Chicago. Looking at the map it is just a short ride down stream and across that lake.

Hopalong is a very special bug as she becomes our 600th travel bug. It will be joining one of MaxB's escorted TB tours which has provided over 700,000 TB miles. She'll be headed back north real soon.

Grabbed it from the MSU Travel Bug Dorm cache while I was in Mississippi. I am taking it 500 or so miles west back to Fort Worth, Texas, so that it can enter the mix of caches in the metroplex, and continue on its journey.
Hmmm, I'll try to get it in a cache, where it can head north to Chicago.
