On my holiday in Argentina, I visited Peninsula Valdez, home of Mel, one of the most famous wild killer whales. Despite being over 40, Mel was still alive and hunting in the spring of 2009.
Mel features in several documentaries; one of the most recent (2009) is: Orca Killing School from national geographic channel.

Gefunden am 14.05.2010 in Berlin. Der TB wird demnächst an die Nordsee nach Helgoland reisen, wo er zwar keinen anderen Orcas aber dafür Schweinswale und zuweilen auch Riesenhaie sehen wird.

During a business trip to Constance I found the Orca just across the Swiss border. I brought it home to DasNashorn.
