I couldn't get this to control my TV, but perhaps you will be more lucky. It claims to operate "most TV brands and models" but the operating instructions are vague and/or confusing.

Found it! Unfortunately it did not work on our TV but maybe the next person will have more luck. We shall have it in a new cache next week to continue its journey. Left a little prezzie behind :o)
This is the second cache we have ever found so I hope I have done this right.
