Current Goal

515th Geocaching Unit. Our mission is to travel around, alone or together to military bases. We want to have our picture taken with real soldiers and real military equipment. We like to visit the signs outside of bases to show where we have been. If you know a soldier post their picture and tell us a little about them.

About This Item

Wolford right

(visit link)

This action figure is of a real soldier: Sergeant First Class Gerald Wolford.

Short version: SFC Wolford put his Humvee between heavy fire and a friendly unit that was being pinned down. As his gunner engaged the enemy SFC Wolford used his own vehicle as rolling cover for the unit taking fire, moving them all to safety. He then declined medical care for himself and continued to engage the enemy.
