According to American Indian mythology, the night air contains the spirits of good dreams and bad dreams. A round loop, woven into a threaded web and sometimes containing gemstones, is said to channel good dreams into the sleeper, while the bad become hopelessly entangled in the web. The bad dreams perish at the first light of dawn. This is the legend of the Dream Catcher. The size, shape and variations of dream catchers are as many as the individuals who make them.
The goal of this dream catcher is travel the galaxy, sharing good dreams and warding off the bad.
