Current Goal

In memory of Brady the hermit crab my goal is to meet as many beloved pets as I can and get my picture taken with them.

About This Item

This is a shell we found in Bar Harbor last year but here's why it's now a travel bug:

This week both of the young squires in our house got pet Hermit Crabs. The 6 (almost 7) year old chose a very cool football painted shell and promptly named him Brady. We'll, Mr. Brady was not very active and looking a little lame, I guess in honor of his namesake. He promptly died the next morning. After the memorial service we were headed out to 1. buy new hermit crab and 2. go geocaching. So we made a little travel bug in honor of Brady - the dead crab, not the quarterback. We didn't use the real shell - that will hopefully be the future home of some new hermit crab.

Found Brady watching a baseball game, he was very confused because both teams had blue shirts, one team had gray pants while the other used white, so depending on how well 'mom' did laundry they all looked alike! Taking him home to visit my pets, will post some pics in a couple of days.
