This Travel bug is sent in memory of our son, Alex. He passed away on February 24th 2007 after contracting Meningococcal Meningitis; he was just 17 years old. We want to spread the word about having our children vaccinated so other families won't have to feel the pain we do. It brought tears to my eyes to read about Alex--we are so, so sorry. We know about this dread disease first hand--but we were some of the lucky ones. Our daughter when she was less than a year old survived the disease because our wonderful family doctor caught the symptoms and took very prompt action--this was before there was a vaccine. Thank you for setting out this TB
