Ah Ben! You Gentle Giant!
It has been a wonderful trip traveling with you. We found you in a cache near our home in Juneau AK. The cache was covered with snow and possibly not accessible for much longer. I will always remember the first time I saw you; you were the biggest traceable I had ever seen! How could we pass you up?
We started by taking you with us to visit some other caches in Juneau. Then we went down to where the sailor grew up. Next, we took you with us on our Mediterranean / Trans-Atlantic Cruise aboard the Queen Victoria Ocean Liner. Living in the lap of luxury, while trying to find a cache big enough for you! We were glad we could take you with us to all those wonderful places! Once we got off the ship, we took you with us down to Key West Fl. Our goal was to find you a suitable location to call your temporary home. We went to most caches in Key West, including the largest caches in KW. Alas no luck! You were just too big! We then found the biggest cache in between KW and Miami (our next stop). We then found the Oh Deer! cache.
The Oh Deer! cache is located inside the National Key Deer Refuge Visitor Center. The cache itself is huge, with lots of room for you to stretch out and relax. The staff there is extremely friendly and fell in love with you at first sight! Also being the visitor center you are surrounded by lots of your wildlife friends!
We hope you keep moving to every corner of the world, and eventually make your way back to Alaska.
Godspeed!
