Byers Bruin wants to visit locations where the fishing is great! Salmon, trout, halibut, grayling, steelhead...he'll eat them all!
Byers Bruin was released near Byers Lake in Denali State Park where the Ladybug Kids had their closest ever brown bear encounter. The "senior" Ladybugs were hiking along the Byers Lake trail when they heard a "whoosh" and snapping jaws...two sounds that will make the hair stand up on the back of one's neck. A peek around a tree in the trail gave them a view of the backside of a good-sized brown bear disappearing into the brush.
