This coin has been deposited in a north-central Florida forest. Ross Prairie State Forest is a medium sized forest preserve with patches of dense forest and open ranges consisting of sand dunes and grass tundra. While dropping off this coin, I encountered a Golden Silk Spider near the cache. You can see a picture in my gallery or look it up on the web. The one I saw would be just slightly smaller than an open hand. They are quite large, but harmless. They can create quite a fright if you don't see it coming! There were no snakes or aligators seen while hiking in the park, but it is possible in this area. Thanks for placing the coin in the world and I hope it finds many adventures along the way.
