Drug Abuse Resistance Education or DARE is a highly acclaimed anti-drug and anti-violence program of which we have seen much success in the Napa Valley as well as other jurisdictions throughout the world. DARE not only stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, but also for Define Assess Respond and Evaluate. This is a very successful decision-making methodology taught to the fifth graders. They practice this decision-making model and utilize the 8 Ways to Say No as a means to make good choices and have success in asserting themselves.
