A wonderful "GC&P Club - 9/11 Memorial Coin", this coin will hopefully reach GROUND ZERO for some reverent tribute photos and along the way and also visit many 9-11 tribute caches while it travels...
There's a touching 9-11 tribute cache here in Utah where it'll get it's start, and move on from there.
Once reaching GROUND ZERO in NYC, it would be fantastic for this coin to then stay east, roaming the thousands of miles of former Civil War battlegrounds. Visting all types of caches having to do with the Civil War. Especially virtual caches or multi-caches that take fellow cachers on especially interesting treks pertaining to this tragic and most complex time in our country's history.
Remember to Never Forget the brave men and women of every era & background who sacrificed so much for the better good of this country; established for, and ideally continually mindful of, freedom and justice for all.
This coin has been engraved along the outer rim to prevent theft, please do not keep!

Took some time today for a 9/11 memorial service where we heard from one of the NYC firefighters who was there for 9/11. Last month I also had the opportunity to visit the battlefield at Gettsyburg, PA. At both of these locations, I was moved when thinking of all those who died while supporting their families, communities, and country. Thank you for releasing this geocoin - hopefully it will help many of us to reflect on the lives and patriotism of those that came before us.

Left this TB in Benson's Park today. They are planning a tremendous 9-11 tribute here, which should be open by the 10 year anniversary. The centerpiece is a large steel beam from ground zero which is reported to be the largest part of debris recovered.
