Current Goal

It would be great if it could get to Hawaii before we do.We are launching it at the MiGO 2010 Winter Social. We hope you will enjoy this coin and its icon. Please move it to a new cache, hopefully further west. We hope that it does not just "disappear or become imprisoned in someones personal collection notebook to be only "Discovered" at events. It's sad how many of our coins have met that fate.

About This Item

To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, we designed this coin. Our first goal was to find a cache in each of Michigan's 83 counties and to launch a coin in each new county we added to our list. After we completed that quest in the fall of '07, we have set as our next goal to cache all 50 states and launch a coin named after each one we add. We are also trying to launch one in each country we visit.
We hope to visit Hawaii in 2011 and log our 50th State

    GeoPig took the TBs to find this cache at a famous bar in Bora Bora. It was a little difficult for them to actually grab the cache because all of the TBs are vertically challenged. They had to enlist the help of a friendly local to grab the actual cache for them. After signing the log, they enjoyed a refreshing non-alcoholic drink. Then they read the names of all of the famous people who had visited this bar. GeoPig was extremely disappointed to find that Miss Piggy had never been there. The TBs then heading back to the pier for a little shopping before returning to the ship. Pictures will be uploaded when GeoPig returns home.

    GeoPig and the TBs rented a scooter and toured Moorea today. They stopped at this park to grab a cache and take a quick swim before continuing around the island. They ended their day on Moorea by shopping for souvenirs at the pier.

    We stopped at Papeete, Tahiti on a Sunday, and everything was closed. We could’ve gotten a FTF on a fairly new cache, but even the taxis took the day off! 😁

    GeoPig and the TBs spent the entire day seeing the famous sites in Sydney. They took a private city tour in the morning to see some of the more famous points of interest. They spent the afternoon at the Aquarium and Wildlife Park and saw koalas and kangaroos. Then they all took a fun ride home on the monorail. GeoPig will upload pictures when she returns home.

    GeoPig gave an informative lecture about Australia to the TBs today. She showed pictures from the Australian vacation of her good friends, MaxB on the River, so the TBs would be prepared for the sights they would see. She also conducted “cruise-training” for the TBs who were continuing on the cruise. The TBs saw pictures of the ship and were then given samples of the gourmet food and drink they would be enjoying during their cruise. This was followed by the “water-training” so the TBs could get their “sea legs.”
