The Death's Door was a beautiful location for a cache - as it stands, the area is now home to many a sailor who's lost their lives traversing its corridor...
Lots of history and mystique here. It's also the aboriginal home to the Ho-Chunk - a native american tribe that was removed from this area in the late 1700's, but still remain in small bands throughout the central wisconsin area...
Once called the winnebago - they first encountered the french explorer jean nicollet on the shores of wisconsin, in 1634... for some 12,000 years up to that point, there was little change in this area - within 340 years, earths ecology had dramatically changed in this region.
It is so nice to have such a travel bug passing though and visiting our home (wisconsin) - I'll be moving it on a bit for you...
