I am tired of being cut off or nearly smashed into by people that think they can operate their car and talk on the phone. In the USA, in 2008, over 37,000 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes (MVC)! MVC are the #1 cause of death for persons aged 3 to 33 in the USA. In 2000, the economic cost of MVC in the USA was over $230 Billion. Yes, BILLION!
People talking on the phone while driving are FOUR TIMES more likely to be involved in a crash. A study done in London in Sept. 2008 stated that people texting while driving are more impaired than if they were drinking alcohol or smoking marijauna.

March 2009: A recent study done at Harvard University showed 636,000 car accidents caused by persons talking on the phone!
July 2009: Another study from Harvard stated that 2,600 persons are killed annually in the USA due to cell phone use while driving. But don't worry. It won't be you.
January 2010 You are 4x more likely to crash while talking on the phone. That is equal to being legally drunk! Texting while driving? 8x more likely to crash! Twice the risk of being drunk!

Last year, almost 3100 people were killed in automobile accidents caused by distracted drivers.  Also, polls show that 90% believe that distracted persons don't drive well.  Yet those same folks believe they drive fine while talking on the phone.  
Think about it. Do you really have to order that pizza or find out the latest gossip while driving? If you have to babble on the phone while in your car, pull over and park.

There are other people on the road too, not just you.
