Current Goal

This bug will be placed in a cache in Hamilton, NY, within the next week. Its goal is to travel to Rochester, NY, (My hometown) and have its picture taken in front of 128 Bay View Rd. or 287 Shelford Rd. (My boyhood homes) and Rochester Christian School or Benjamin Franklin High School (My boyhood schools). Then he can travel from one cache to another meeting other school mascots.

About This Item

Captain Comet

The bug is named "Captain Comet" after the school mascot where I teach, since the school is name is the Comets. The colors are purple and gold as are the colors of the little mascot figure.

Picked up Captain Comet from the Bug Box Cache. He completed his assignment despite a few detours and long ways around. Thanks to all the cachers who moved him. Am going on a trip out east in a month and will start him on a new journey out there.

Grabbed this bug while in a business trip in Saline, MI (Wonder if that town's name has anything to do with SALT?). Thought we would move him a bit more West and get him closer to his next goal. We will either place him in our home cache - Rural Route Bug Box & TB Hotel (5-star Rated), or drop him into another cache in the area for another cacher to move North to GR. When found, he had no identification, so we are making him a new laminated bug sheet before turning him loose. Thanks!
