About This Item

Can anyone find out anything about me? I was dug up last year at Kinersley Manor Near Horley in Surrey,UK. My finder made phone calls to papers in Bradford and googled till I was totally googled. The inscription read Fancourt Bradford Saddler. I appear to be made or brass and I guess I was attached to a strap somewhere round a horse.

I wonder how old I am and when the manufacturer started trading and ceased to trade?

I could travel anywhere in the world and have my photo taken by horses or stables or go to bradford UK?
Maybe that would help but.....

.....keep me moving as the more caches and hands I travel through then the more chance that I will meet someone who knows me!

I picked this up from Cara's Cache today, with the intention of moving it a few thousand miles west, but after reading about it perhaps the better thing to do would be to leave it here in the London area. It may be a few days, but I'll get it back. Interesting puzzle. Hope you solve it.

Edit: with the owner's permission I will launch this out on this side of the pond.

I've now done my fair share of Googling too and can't add much to the mystery. The actual inscription on the object is:
T. FANCOURT
SADDLER
BRADFORD

My guess is the T stands for Thomas. "T. Fancourt" Googled brings up some interesting links to an Anglican Clergy Directory with a similar name.
