The real Number One tree planter in the world is Dr. Wangari Maathai. She has started a tree planting effort in Africa, that has planted over 30,000,000 trees!! Let's go to Kenya! In March 2005, she was elected as the first president of the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council. She authored four books; an autobiography, Unbowed, and an explanation of her organizational method, The Green Belt Movement: Sharing the Approach and the Experience. The Challenge for Africa and Replenishing the Earth were both released in 2010.
