This TB wants to travel to caches that are water related, arriving either by boat or hidden in caches near the water.
Williams Air Force Base, "Willie", ran a recreation site for military personnel on Apache Lake, located on the Salt River east of Phoenix. Sadly, when the base closed in 1993, the recreation site, known as "Camp Waterdog" closed also. The site rented boats and had camping sites and was very popular. In order to rent a boat, you had to take a written test and the USAF issued you an operators license. On one of my outings there, I dropped my truck keys while getting out of the boat and they instantly sunk to the bottom. I guess I wasn't the only person to have suffered a similar fate, as the manager gave me a large magnet on a long rope and I used it to find the keys, in 60 feet of water. I immediately bought this floatie, designed to keep your keys from sinking, and used it everytime we went to Waterdog.
