I ran into the owner of the cache where this coin was hidden, and decided to grab it. I have a friend who's going out towards the Canaries- I'm going to pass this off to him.

While out walking with my daughter, I stopped by the cache to discover this coin. It's very nice and I've never seen one like it. It sure is a long way from it's destination though!
