Current Goal

My current goal is to reach the mooring ball Dockside Marina, Slip A-2, in Boot Key Harbor, Marathon, Florida Keys, USA. The people who find the September Sea can ride the Smorgasboat out to them if they want to.
If you see sailing vessel “September Sea” at this marina, please convey to the boat’s Skippers: Charmaine and Bill, that their German “son” Wolfie and their “daughter” Vera send them warm greetings!
Please take a photo of sailing vessel September Sea with or without its Skippers and/or its Home Port Marina and with me and put it in your log.
On this way to the vessel I want to see sailboats and/or marinas. Please take a photo of them with me and put it on your log.

About This Item

My Background
In 1998 my owner Wolfie – living in Munich, Germany - was on vacation in Jamaica with his Mom.
In the hotel they met Charmaine, a wonderful and charismatic American woman. They all became friends and spent a beautiful time there in Jamaica.
Charmaine and my Mother had so much fun together.
Once back to their respective homes, they remained in contact by email and letters. Wolfie visited Charmaine at her house in Petersburg, Illinois. When he was there, Charmaine told him her dream for life: To find the perfect sailboat so she and her husband could sail and live aboard, one day sailing to far aways places.
After selling her house, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, still looking for the perfect boat. When she finally found "September Sea," they sailed it down to the Florida Keys and have been living aboard and sailing ever since.
This travel bug wants to send Charmaine Hugs and Kisses from her German “son” Wolfie and “daughter” Vera.
It’s dedicated to their lasting friendship and to the families of Charmaine, Vera, and Wolfie - Especially to "Maddy," Wolfie's Mom.

Greetings from Vera and Wolfi aka MoppelMaeusl

Grabbed the bug from Visitor Centre II - GCC8E8 - will move it further south - probably around the Orlando area - this should happen before Christmas

There's no way that this would fit inside the cache it's listed as being inside. You probably want to check with the last person who had it to find out what's up with it.

This little guy didn't make it to the Keys as planned, I hope he makes it soon. Placed him somewhere easy to move.

Recieved via snail mail per my request, from the last finder. Am heading to the Keys today, hopefully to fulfill the goal of this little boat.
