Serendipity is...a propensity for making fortuitous discoveries while looking for something unrelated. In this case, I had finished up a training class in Brodheadsville, PA and happened to be out geocaching in a nearby park. My Blackberry Beeped and I read the Drop log from the previous holder of this TB. The log said the cache was in PA. The cache name was familiar. So I checked it out. And there it was... A TB I watch, one I held for a little while in August of 2005, had been dropped in a cache in Allentown, PA that I found in November of 2005.
I am staying in Allentown, so I packed up my stuff and headed south towards my hotel and dinner... and a TB! Pulled into the park about 50 minutes later and had the cache in hand about 10 minutes later. The Funky Chicken seemed happy to see a familiar face and we stopped to smell some flowers on the way back to the car. I'll post that photo someday.
And if everything works out tomorrow, it will be on its way to the Detroit area next week to be passed off to another Cheerio! If tomorrow doesn't work out, it is heading to Missoula, MT and then I'll hold on to it for a little while until my next trip is planned.
The Funky Chicken is traveling in a baggie, on the baggie is a note left by a previous mover- Complicated Goal. Made me laugh when I read it. Maybe it is complicated, but it is still a great goal!
